Hi, my name is Hannah Acree. I am studying Environmental Science and Science Education through FSU Teach. The painting above is Cave Painting by Bansky. To find the name of the painting I search in Google "man pressure washing a cave painting" and found that Banksy was the artist, but no name for the painting, so I searched in Google "Banksy man in cave" and was able to find the painting's name.

hello my name is Thomas O'Mara. I am currently a junior at FSU. I am also a transfer student from St. Petersburg College. My major is in Social Science Education . The painting above was created by Bansky and i found it by googling "pressure washing cave walls." This picture definitely makes me laugh due to the carelessness of the man cleaning an ancient piece of art.

Hello. Kathy Barber here. I work full time for FSU and already have my BFA in Film and am working towards adding a teaching certificate to my credits. The cave painting featuring Banksy cleaning it I found by searching for "Cave Painting cleaning picture". I found it interesting that Banksy would be cleaning up ancient drawings since it seems like he would be comparing his art to that of early man in significance. Cave paintings are the earliest form of literacy and describe what was important for survival to the people of those times. I also found it interesting that early man has usually depicted himself in relation to animals, especially horse-like creatures, since that relationship between mankind and animals still exists so strongly today. Banksy's art is also a form of modern literature as it depicts what he feels is important to people in our culture today.

Hi! I'm Crystal Posey and I'm a junior (well now a senior after this past spring semester). I am a FSU Teach Environmental Science Major. It is a double major in Environmental Science and Secondary Math and Science Education. I was able to google search the image given by right clicking it and clicking the search image option, I found that this painting takes place in an old tunnel that was formerly used by taxis, which was vacated when Eurostar left its Waterloo terminal in London. Banksy is the artist of this painting and his main idea towards the graffiti on this wall is that he believes that not doing anything with a vacant area is a waste when you should actually transform it into an oasis of beautiful art. pinewooddesign.co.uk/2008/05/04/the-cans-festival-banksy-street-exhibition/

Hello, my name is Autumn Holcomb and I'm a media specialist student working towards my Master's degree. I also have an undergrad in English. The image is "Cave Painting" by Banksy, which I found by Googling "man cleaning off a cave painting art". It's a very strong image that reminds me of the song "Big Yellow Taxi"- "They pave paradise to put up a parking lot".

Hey all! I'm Tiffani, a first year MS/EdS School psych. student. I've never seen this image before, however was able to google it pretty quickly by searching "banksy pressure wash." The lovely people above mentioned the name banksy, which is where I got that information. I really like the feel of this picture! It's old school with a "new school" message. It seems to be communicating that literacy as it was defined long ago is no longer important/ or is being forgotten.
